Bureau of Communicable Disease
Overview
The Bureau of Communicable Disease is comprised of 8 programs and provides core public health functions including: disease surveillance; disease investigation; regulatory public health activities; coordination of prevention and treatment; education; training and policy development.
Mission
The mission of the Communicable Disease Bureau is to reduce sickness and death due to communicable diseases among Delawareans through disease surveillance, case investigation, outbreak intervention and public education.
