Ryan White Program
It is the mission of the Ryan White Program to provide statewide treatment and care services to people living with HIV/AIDS.
Program History
The Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency (CARE) Act was enacted in 1990 to improve care for low-income, uninsured, and underinsured individuals and families affected by HIV disease. The state of Delaware is a recipient of CARE Act Title II funds, which is disbursed to all states and eligible U.S. territories to help improve the quality, availability, and organization of HIV/AIDS health care and supportive services, and also to provide access to high-cost pharmaceuticals through the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP).
