Immunizations – Adults
Many adults do not realize they are supposed to be immunized against diseases. Getting immunized is a lifelong commitment. Ask your doctor which shots you might need.
WHY DO I NEED VACCINATIONS AT THIS AGE?
Most of the vaccines you received when you were younger will continue to protect you. Many adults do not realize they also need immunizations to remain healthy, however;
- Not everyone received all the shots they needed as children.
- Depending on how old you are, there may be newer vaccines that were not available when you were a child.
- As you get older, your immune system gets weaker, and you may need booster shots.
- As you age, you become more susceptible to complications of diseases and it becomes even more important to get certain shots such as the flu.
