Office of Drinking Water
Laboratory Certification Program
The Office of Drinking Water (ODW) Laboratory Certification Program (LCP) fulfills primacy requirements for the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) by complying with the current editions of the Code of Federal Regulations 40 CFR Parts 141-143 (CFR) and the EPA Manual for the Certification of Laboratories Analyzing Drinking Water (CLADW).
The LCP ensures quality drinking water laboratory testing to preserve and protect Delaware’s public health and safety. The focus is to ensure that drinking water laboratories certified by the State perform accurate testing of SDWA compliance samples according to the standards set forth in the CLADW.
ODW certifies both in-state and out-of-state (via reciprocity) drinking water laboratories that analyze SDWA compliance samples.
