    Sometimes it’s the small questions—about legal paperwork, confusing medical bills, or finding reliable caregiving tips—that feel the biggest. These resources are here to help you navigate important decisions with confidence.

    If you’re 60 or older, you can get free help with legal issues like:

    • Powers of attorney
    • Advance health care directives
    • Consumer rights, housing, or public benefit issues

    Priority is given to those with the greatest economic or social need.

    Sorting through Medicare, Medicaid, or insurance statements can be confusing—but you don’t have to do it alone. The Delaware Medicare Assistance Bureau, run by the Delaware Insurance Department, offers free, confidential help with:

    • Medicare and Medicaid
    • Medicare supplement and long-term care insurance
    • Other health insurance questions

    If something doesn’t look right on your bill, start by contacting your provider or insurance company. If it still doesn’t add up, the Delaware Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) can help investigate further.
