    Community-Based Day Programs

While not operated by the state, Delaware is home to a wide network of community-based day programs that offer support, connection, and engagement for older adults and adults with disabilities. These programs are especially helpful for individuals who need supervision or help during the day while caregivers are at work or managing other responsibilities.

The Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities (DSAAPD) connects you to these resources to help you or your loved ones stay active, supported, and socially engaged.

    Adult Day Services

Adult day centers provide supervised care and structured activities for adults with physical and/or cognitive challenges. These programs offer a safe space for participants and peace of mind for caregivers.

    Adult Day Services may include:

    • Social activities
    • Help with daily tasks like eating or medication reminders
    • Opportunities for physical movement and creative expression
    • Assistance for people living with dementia or other impairments

These programs are available in all three counties and are staffed by trained professionals.

    Senior Centers

Senior centers offer group meals, fitness activities, educational programs, and social events that help older adults stay connected and engaged. While each center is unique, many offer resources like congregate meals, wellness screenings, and local outings.
