    145 Delawareans die by suicide in 2024, 15 more than in 2023.

    The Delaware Office of Suicide Prevention, established in House Bill 54 and signed into law by Delaware Governor Matt Meyer in August 2025, will coordinate prevention efforts, data gathering, and best practices collaboration across State agencies and community partners. The new office will be filled in 2026.
