    Direct Support Professionals, or DSPs, help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities lead active and meaningful lives in their communities. These essential members of the care team assist with personal care, help clients achieve personal growth, and support them in community activities.

    DSP Academy

    The DSP Academy is a customized vocational training program designed for individuals with disabilities themselves who wish to become DSPs in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) service system. Upon completion, participants will have all training and certifications needed to work as a DSP in the State of Delaware. The award-winning curriculum has been adapted to suit all learning styles and offers participants job development and placement services.
